Life has a way of becoming overwhelming and complicated at times and it can be difficult to manage. Mental health is something we tend to take for granted until it significantly impairs our life. Just like physical health, good mental health needs to be attended to daily and there are things we can do to improve and sustain our ideal mental fitness. However, similarly to physical health, we all experience times when our mental health is not optimal. We all experience mental distress and mental health problems, it is a part of the human condition. However, we can experience life events that can overwhelm us and tax our coping strategies, which can lead to us struggling to manage and attend to our mental well-being and may lead to mental illness. When we are having physical ailments that we can't resolve ourselves, we seek a doctors help. Similarily, when our mental health is strained or ailing and we are not able to resolve it ourselves seeing a psychologist can provide support, insight and strategies to help you to reach your optimal mental health and how to sustain it.
My approach is based on theoretical constructs such as Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Trauma Informed Practice , Therapeutic Play, complimented with Psychoeducational and Biofeedback concepts.
My goal is to provide a serene, nonjudgemental, caring and supportive environment for children, adolescents and adults to face and work through their life challenges, tap into their resiliency and develop effective strategies to sustain optimal mental health.

As a parent of three children I have experienced the challenges and stress that comes with being a parent. This has sparked a passion within me to support parents through this highly challenging and highly rewarding experience. This is the hardest role I have had and I have learned a great deal. My focus is to provide parents a kind, caring and nonjudgemental environment to talk about their challenges and worries and to offer support, strategies and hope. I believe we all do the best we can with what we have and when we know better we do better.
